Meet TaVonne, a Health/Physical Education Educator with almost 20 years of experience and over 30 years of experience as a Student, Athlete, and Coach.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education from Clark Atlanta University, a Master of Arts in Sports Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University. To accompany her studies, TaVonne is a former track and field collegiate student-athlete, and (sidenote) she learned how to swim before she could even crawl. Needless to less, TaVonne has truly dedicated her time to learning and living her life's purpose.
With the many leadership hats TaVonne wears, some of her titles and awards include Coach of the Year, W.I.S.E. Peer Mentor of the Sex Education Curriculum for DeKalb County, Chairman for the Track and Field program of the DeKalb County School District, CPR/AED/FirstAid Facilitator, Department Chair, Teacher of the Year, Home Depot Wellness Coordinator, and many more!
TaVonne is also a member of Black Women in Sports Foundation, Georgia Association Health/and Recreation and Dance Organization, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Society of Health and Physical Educators, Organization Dekalb Educators, and Trainer Faculty for the American Heart Association.
